What is STBJ?

The STBJ (Standard Test for Business Japanese) has been held since 2007 and is currently held six times a year (February, April, June, August, October and December) in China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Pakistan (starting in April 2025). It has also been adopted by Japanese language education institutions in Japan, Taiwan, Thailand and South Korea.

Since the STBJ measures business Japanese language proficiency from the ground up, it is used not only by those seeking employment in Japanese companies or Japanese-related companies, but also by students wishing to study abroad in Japan.
